Sports fan: Tom Kaulitz models for Reebok
According to himself he owns thousands of sneakers, now Tom Kaulitz landed a model contract—for sports shoes of course. The Tokio Hotel guitarist is his usual casual self and enjoys undivided attention for the new Reebok campaign.
Tom Kaulitz is also a fashion victim even though he has got a completely different sense in fashion than his androgynous twin brother Bill. Only recently the 20-year-old Tokio Hotel guitarist revealed that he buys 10 new pairs of sneakers each week and stores his collection in its own storage room.
Now the sneaker fan is dabbling at being a model—for sports shoes of course. For the new Reebok campaign Tom poses in his usual sporty way and with his guitar. Special highlight of this promotion: the codes in the Reebok [shoe] boxes are raffle tickets. First prize: a place on the band’s tour bus.
“It’s extremely important to us to be in touch with our fans!”, Tom says about the competition.
We are hoping the Reebok storage depots are well-stocked.
According to an article on Gala.de the competition winner will accompany Tom and the rest of the band on tour for two days and Tom is being quoted from the official press release saying: “For the winner it’s very much an exception because our tour bus is usually top secret.”
Oh Tom, sometimes you just make it too easy… It was funny enough that he called Bill “bananas” when thinking that it’s him who occasionally likes to dress in yellow and now it turns out that he even chose to use a yellow outfit for himself as an example while talking about his shoe collection during that very same interview. Blast from the past: On 13th October 2005 Tokio Hotel were guests on Viva Live and gave an interview to VJane Gülcan. Most of you will probably know the part with the siblings test where the twins were giving answers while holding up cardboard thumps. It’s definitely a fun interview and Gülcan adds a little speed talking of her own to the mix. Some people might find her a bit over the top and she probably is but that can cause some hilarious moments.
German TV show Taff featured a little snippet for the release of the Live DVD. Click “read more” for the video (it shows live footage but isn’t very long).
Translation: Tokio Hotel live and not from this world. We’ve never been quite sure what kind of creature Bill Kaulitz actually is. One parent was an alien judging from the stage outfit. Never mind though. The show that the guys delivered on their Humanoid tour is quite impressive. And to go down in rock history one gets filmed by a famous director for an expensive DVD. Alien believers and fans can buy the DVD and Live CD from tomorrow and pursue the question: human being or something else?
